Hafar forces announce zero hour to storm Tripoli

The forces of the retired brigade Khalifa Hafter launched a violent attack on the positions of the forces of the government of Al-Wefaq in the areas of Ain Zara and Al-Khalah and Wadi al-Rubaie south of the capital Tripoli. The sounds of the clashes were clearly heard in the southern neighborhoods of the city after a lull lasted about a week.

The media said the attack began after pages on the social networking sites belonging to Hafer recorded a voice recording of the head of the operations room, General Saleh Abouda, giving instructions to storm Tripoli and start the zero hour.

In the same context, the media center of Brigade 73 of Hafter said that his forces have been advancing continuously since the first morning hours on all axes.

The statement, published on the official Facebook page, said that their forces are advancing significantly in Ain Zara and the Valley of Spring valley, and that the air force continues to target points in front of the advanced units.

Previous warnings
The presidential council of the National Reconciliation Government warned on Saturday of a new military escalation targeting Tripoli, said in a statement that "media reports that there are preparations by the forces of Haftar to target through air strikes civil facilities in Tripoli, including the airport of Maitika International."

The Presidential Council confirmed the readiness of the forces of the Government of Reconciliation to repel any new aggression on the capital, calling on the UN mission and the international community to take responsibility for the escalation and targeting of civilians.

The Presidential Council also called on the international community to take effective action to stop the aggression on Tripoli, which causes the shedding of the blood of the Libyans, the destruction of the civilian infrastructure, the prolongation of the war and the suffering of the citizens.

Intelligence
The Supreme Council of the State has already announced intelligence information indicating the intention of countries - including the UAE, France and Egypt - to support the digging of weapons and aviation and to become more involved in the Libyan file.

For his part, Al-Jazeera Net reported that things are going on normally in the capital Tripoli, and there is no armed manifestations in the streets of the city, but pointed out that citizens are saving food, goods and logistics, in light of the congestion on petrol stations.

In his turn, a member of the Supreme Council of State Qasim Dabbar that Hafter intends to escalate its aggression on Tripoli and resort to modern aviation to attack on new civilian facilities.

"These warnings have been taken very seriously by the security and military authorities, both in the Chief of Staff and the military areas or the departments of the Ministry of Interior," said Dabbar, head of the Security Committee of the Supreme Council of the State.

"Those who are involved in the aggression against Tripoli, the UAE, Egypt and France, and this became clear, whether by supporting military or political support by blocking the Arab League, and the last faint statement from the six countries about the ceasefire in Libya," he said.
