The body of Mamoudou Barry, a young Guinean teacher victim two weeks ago of a "racist" attack in Rouen, north-west France, was brought back to Guinea on Saturday (August 3rd).

Sadness, emotion and pain could be seen on the faces of the parents, friends of the late Mamoudou Barry at the Conakry airport, where the remains arrived in a light rain just before 11:00 pm.

The government is following closely the evolution of investigations to elucidate the motive of this heinous crime. We are convinced that justice will be done because racist crimes can not be tolerated, "said Mamadi Toure.

At the Conakry airport, there was also the Chargé d'Affaires of the French Embassy, ​​Fabien Talon. " It is with deep sadness that we all learned of his death in tragic circumstances. The funeral procession will leave this Sunday evening for the locality of Mamou, located about 300 km northeast of the Guinean capital, where a mortuary prayer is scheduled Monday at midday, before the burial in Bolaro, his native village.
