“Alexander Illarionov and Andrei Zhuravlev were found guilty, they were sentenced to 395 years in prison for two,” Interfax quoted him as saying.

In January, a court in Greece sentenced the Russians Anton Karramov and Platon Davydov, accused of transporting illegal migrants by sea. According to their relatives, the men did not know about the illegal status of passengers and thought they were carrying ordinary tourists.

On January 27, the Russian embassy in Greece confirmed to RIA Novosti that two Russian sailors were sentenced to long sentences for the illegal transportation of migrants, and reported that 24 Russian citizens were under arrest for this type of crime.
