When the gondolas start moving on Sunday at 10 o'clock, the giant wheel Hi-Sky is officially opened in the Munich factory quarter. As tall as the highest in Europe, the London Eye at 135 meters, it is not - it rises 78 meters in height. Nevertheless, it has an entry in the Guinness Book of Records: as the world's largest transportable ferris wheel.

Within four weeks, the ride is built or dismantled, so in two years - so the plan - turn elsewhere. Then namely in the Atelierstraße near the Ostbahnhof Munich new concert hall to arise. The wheel is not anchored in the ground, but maintains its weight of 1500 tons. Each of its 27 gondolas can accommodate up to 16 people.

The manufacturer Mauerer has been building giant Ferris wheels of the type R80 XL since 2012. Six years ago he made a prototype, had it turned on his Munich factory site, then it was shipped to Mexico. For this Ferris wheel, which stands today in Puebla, the manufacturer received according to own data the Guinness book entry. The mobile Ferris wheel of the Hamburg Cathedral is only 60 meters high.
