30 October 2019The London garbage collection has manually removed a 40-ton "iceberg", comparable to a bus, composed of grease, diapers and napkins from the sewers.

The staff of Thames Water, a London based municipal water supply and wastewater treatment company, took 3 weeks to cut into pieces and remove the "monster" from the sewers.

The lard ball has blocked the sewerage network for 80%.

Matt Rimmer, responsible for the discharge of waste water, has appealed to the citizens, asking not to spill grease, oils, diapers and napkins into the sewer system.
