On Friday, France will be split between grisaille in the west and a brighter sky in the east. Temperatures will hardly exceed 30 degrees in places.

The weather will be contrasted Friday, with gray in the west early in the day, according to Météo-France forecasts released Thursday. The grisaille will be well established from the early hours of the Basque Country in the Pays de la Loire and Brittany and Normandy, to the Strait of Pas de Calais.

Rain by Brittany

This greyness will gradually dissipate during the morning to give way to a more variable sky. Further east, the sky will be brighter, with alternating cloudstorms and clearings, which will be much wider over the southern two-thirds of the country. In the afternoon, the sun will remain generous in the southern two thirds of the country, despite cumulus on the relief of the Alps, the Pyrenees and Corsica. The weather will be rather sunny on the Massif Central, from the Center-Val de Loire to the Grand Est.
