Already winner last year, Manchester City won the Community Shield (1-1, 5 tab 4) against Liverpool.

Certainly, the season of Premier League has not started yet. But Manchester City took a slight psychological advantage over Liverpool on Sunday, winning the Communty Shield at Wembley (2-1, 5-under-4).

A tight match to the end

The match between the championship winners and their dolphins turned to the advantage of the first-half Citizens, Raheem Sterling opening the scoring in the 12th minute. But the Reds, crowned European champions last June, snatched the equalizer late in the game thanks to their defender Joel Matip (77th). At the end of a match played, the decision was made on penalties.

Pep Guardiola's men clinched their sixth Community Shield, their second consecutive. Last year, they had no problem with Londoners Chelsea (2-0).
