First test flight of Boeing large passenger aircraft "777X" January 26, 8:01

US aircraft giant Boeing has made its first test flight of a large passenger aircraft 777X under development.

The Boeing 777X is an improved version of the 777 currently used by many airlines, and is a large passenger aircraft with two engines and more than 400 seats. On the morning of the 25th, the 777X, which flew from an airport in the suburb of Seattle, Washington, flew for about four hours, tested, and landed safely.

The major feature of the new model is that the metal wing has been changed to a special material containing carbon to reduce the weight of the fuselage and extend the cruising range by improving fuel efficiency. Although more than 350 aircraft have been ordered worldwide, such as Japan Airlines ordering 20 aircraft, the delivery of the aircraft, which was scheduled to start last year, is expected to be delayed early next year due to trouble during testing.

Boeing has been forced to suspend production from this month due to the suspension of operation of its main model, the 737MAX, which has suffered two crashes. Boeing has stated that it will be at the earliest possible for the 737MAX to resume operation, but the business has been challenging.
