It is storming around the Ski Tour event ahead of Tuesday's sprint in Åre.

Several Walla teams alerted earlier today about bad conditions when they had been referred to Walla a garage without ventilation and windows. It made the teams go on strike.

During the evening it took a new turn.

Around 18, Finnish big star Iivo Niskanen posted photos on Instagram of the team's living in Åre. Of the pictures to judge, it was a spartan living, to say the least, with only two toilets of 30 people.

"This must be a joke, @fiscrosscountry? Back to the military, "he wrote.

"Not good enough"

It turned out that the team had been commissioned at a military camp.

A few hours later, Norwegian NRK met the 28-year-old in a hotel lobby. Then the Finnish team was waiting for a new accommodation.

- We had service teams and riders in the same building. 30 people on two toilets and the smell of moisture in the rooms. Eating among soldiers is not the healthiest way to prepare for the continuation of the Ski Tour, he says.

To NRK, responsible Ski Tour manager Guri Knotten Hetland says that they forgot to check the house where Finland would live.

- It's just not good enough. The dialogue with Finland has been good. But I understand Niskanen's frustration, because this was not good. I'm glad we managed to fix this quickly. But it is unfortunate, she says.
