The NHK Cup for figure skating was free for the second half of women's singles in Sapporo, and Rika Kihira was second in stable performance, including icing two triple accelerators.
Yui Yokoi was 4th, and Shingo Yamashita was 5th.
Russia's 16-year-old Ariona Kostrnaya, who was at the top of the first half of the short program, showed a highly complete performance, surpassing Kihei and winning.
