Fernando Alonso made a brief break in his preparation to face his first Dakar Rally, which will be held from January 5 to 17 in Saudi Arabia. The Spaniard, at the head of FA Racing, participated in the 24 Hours of Dubai karting with Pedro Martínez de la Rosa, Ángel Burgueño and Alberto Fernández obtained third place in the general.

The Emirates Racing team, with 1,049 laps completed, took first place and took the Drain Bin team and FA Racing three laps.

Fernando Alonso's team started from the 'pole' thanks to a better record of 1: 16,360, however, as the race progressed he lost positions until he was out of the Top Ten. Then came the comeback of the Spaniards to the last step of the podium.

It is not the first time Alonso has participated in the 24 Hours of Dubai. In 2017 he also played the test, although he finished in tenth position.
