The official account of Expo 2020 Dubai has posted on Twitter the video footage showing the completion of the steel network of Al Wasl Plaza, the heart of the exhibition site.
The square is covered by a 65-meter-high ceiling consisting of a dome with a design inspired by the Expo 2020 Dubai logo.
The square will be the main center of the 4.38 square kilometer site, and will leave the biggest impression of Expo 2020 Dubai to millions of visitors from around the world. Events at Expo 2020 Dubai, and after the exhibition ends in 2021, Al Wasl Square will play a key role in the legacy phase, becoming a focal point for development in the region.
Around 195 countries have confirmed their participation, making it the most comprehensive international expo to date, and between the opening day of October 20, 2020 and the closing ceremony of April 10, 2021, the exhibition is expected to attract more than 25 million visits.
