Several cities around the world have witnessed events marking the first anniversary of the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at his country's consulate in Istanbul.
In front of the Saudi embassy in Paris, activists from Reporters Without Borders (RSF) have put limbs out of a severed body as a symbolic step to remind Khashoggi's murder and chopping off his body.

"Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has yet to be held accountable," the group said in a tweet on Twitter.
In Washington DC, Reporters Without Borders, in collaboration with visual artist Robin Bell, performed a visual display on the façade of the famous Nezium Museum to recall Khashoggi's murder.

US President Donald Trump should acknowledge the Saudi government's involvement in the killing of Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist.
Human Rights First also launched an online petition aimed at forcing both houses of Congress to punish the killers of the Saudi journalist and to end the "White House cover for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman."

Jamal Khashoggi was a "permanently resident activist in the United States and a journalist who spent years exposing the Saudi government's human rights abuses and demanding reform," Amnesty said.
In the Australian capital Sydney, human rights activists staged a protest in front of the Saudi embassy to denounce Khashoggi's murder.

Journalists and activists also staged a sit-in in front of the Saudi embassy in Berlin, condemning the killing of Khashoggi and demanding a trial for his murder.
Hundreds of journalists, activists and human rights activists on Wednesday, in front of the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, commemorated the first anniversary of the killing of Khashoggi.
The event began with a minute of silence in tribute to Khashoggi's spirit, followed by a short film about the life of the Saudi journalist and the testimonies of his friends about him, and his final words in his interviews.
The event began at 13:14 Istanbul time (10:14 GMT), the hour Khashoggi entered the country's consulate a year ago, before being absent forever.
Hundreds of Turkish and Arab journalists from around the world attended the event, attended by activists, human rights activists and officials from Khashoggi's friends.
