Clermont dominated Ulster (29-13) on Saturday, on the 5th and penultimate day of the European Rugby Cup, and at the same time secured a place in the quarterfinals.

ASM, which scored two tries against the Irish and now has 20 points in Pool 3, is guaranteed to finish among the three best second runners-up. The Clermontois face the English Harlequins on January 18, on the last day, with a home quarter in the sights.
