Etisalat Group revealed during its participation in `` Gitex Technology Week 2019 '' advanced robots that have the ability to interact and talk with humans, pointing out that the robot «Vorhat» uses revolutionary techniques that enable him to interact and communicate with people, and be a social companion to humans.
Etisalat Group Vice President, Corporate Communications, Dr. Ahmed Bin Ali, said that Etisalat, through its stand at GITEX Technology Week 2019, presented a model for a self-service retail store called Mobi Mart that does not require employees. Customers can open the door of the store and access it with their smartphones, and then shop the desired products from smart shelves.
He pointed out that «Etisalat» offered through its platform techniques used in ambulances, and allows interactive link between the patient's condition in the ambulance and hospitals, support the situation remotely, and the creation of operating theaters or devices needed by the case once it reaches the hospital.
He added that the Etisalat platform also included a smart self-driving vehicle called “Wim i” dedicated to transporting people of determination.
He explained that the car is based on an innovative system consisting of semi-autonomous electronic devices with wheels, to make the experience of travel around the cities easier for people with disabilities who use wheelchairs lightweight manual.
Etisalat has also introduced a smart Druns connected to 5G networks as Hexa. He explained that the aircraft is controlled by a joystick installed in the cockpit and the flight computer system ensures its stability during flights. The 200-kilogram aircraft includes a single passenger seat weighing just 113 kilograms and 18 sets of fans, engines and batteries.
He stressed that in the event of any emergency, the air traffic controllers can control the aircraft remotely, pointing out that the maximum speed recorded for this aircraft is 97 miles per hour.
He revealed that «Etisalat» provided robots that can be used in customer service centers, and this type is called «social robots», including the robot «Vorhat», which has a willingness to interact with those around him, and to be a social companion for humans through talking, listening and maintaining visual communication, as well as Staff training and language teaching, in addition to the robot designed for self-operation in difficult environments, and the bot robot, which works as a fully automated machine for preparing loaves of bread, in addition to a robot that works in the delivery of orders to external methods.
He pointed out that «Etisalat» offered a smart glove that uses «machine learning» technology, which means the possibility of personalizing the gestures of the hand, also introduced a car «Renault AZ Altimo» a robot vehicle equipped with independent driving technology level IV, able to adapt to Urban environments and highway infrastructure.
