"Etisalat Group" reported that it started providing 12,000 students from families who do not have home internet with free mobile packages, in order to encourage the distance learning system during home isolation.
Etisalat indicated that this comes in coordination with the Ministry of Education, which prepares and sends a list of students who do not have subscriptions to home internet services to service providers, to provide data service on mobile phones.
Etisalat affirmed in its accounts on social media that it provides free browsing for 800 websites in the education, health and safety sectors for more than 10 million subscribers, in addition to providing one million students for distance learning without affecting services in other sectors or other subscribers.
She stated that there are 10 applications and platforms available free of charge, in cooperation with the General Authority for Communications Regulation for the residents of the country, to enable video and audio communication on both fixed and mobile phones, via the fixed and mobile broadband network, in coordination with the authority, to support distance learning and remote work.
Etisalat indicated that the applications include: MicrosoftTeams, (BlackBoard), (ZOOM), (CloudTalk), (Slack), GoolgeHangouts), (SkypeForBusiness), (CiscoWebex), (AvayaSpaces), (BlueJeans).
