Brazil on Friday ruled out Neymar da Silva from a squad that will play two friendlies in November against Argentina and South Korea.

Brazil coach Tete was ruled out by Neymar because of his injury, while Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa and Real Madrid's Rodrigo was first called up.

Neymar suffered a hamstring injury in Brazil's 1-1 draw with Nigeria on October 13 and is expected to be out for four weeks.

Meanwhile, French newspaper Le Parisien reported Friday that Paris St Germain had suspended negotiations to renew Neymar's contract.

The newspaper pointed out that the two sides have been negotiating to renew their contract for several weeks, but did not reach an agreement, where the Paris side takes time to assess the situation.

The 27-year-old Neymar's contract expires in the summer of 2022, but the PSG administration is still cautious about renewing the player's contract because of his frequent injuries and long absence.

Neymar has only played 50 per cent of PSG matches since joining the club in 2017, after paying the penalty clause in his contract with Barcelona (222 million euros).

The Brazilian international was determined to return to Barcelona last summer, in the absence of satisfaction in the French league, but the transfer negotiations failed.
