The company Bimbo Donuts, manufacturer of the emblematic donut, has launched an ERE and a plan to reorganize its commercial network in Spain and "adapt it to the current market demand".

The ERE will affect 290 workers. The company alleges "economic, organizational and production causes." "The manufacturer's brand of bread and pastry market has suffered a progressive decline in recent years as a result of the increase in sales of the distributor's branded products," they say.

This competition has meant a lower volume of kilos placed on the market and, therefore, "the need to adapt the commercial structure to this reality".

This plan, says the company in a statement, contemplates "restructuring of delivery routes", in addition to the reduction of personnel. The company says it will follow the planned channels for these situations "with the firm will to have the representatives of the workers in the decision-making process and to find together the best solution for all".
