CAF decided Thursday to hold the African Super Cup between Esperance of Tunisia and Zamalek of Egypt on February 14, 2020, in the Qatari capital of Doha.

The last edition of the African Super Cup was held between Esperance champions Esperance and Raja Casablanca of Morocco in the Al Ittihad Cup at the "Thani Bin Jassim" stadium in Al Gharafa Club and ended with a 2-1 victory for Raja.

Esperance won the Champions League for the second time this season at the expense of Wydad Casablanca, while Zamalek won the African Confederation Cup by beating Morocco's Berkane.
