Turkish Defense Ministry announced on Sunday the arrival of the equipment of the system "S400" Russian defense to the country, for the third day in a row.
"The S-400 system continues to ship," the ministry said in a statement posted on its Twitter account. In this context, a seventh plane landed at the base of Mereded air in the capital Ankara.
On Friday, the Turkish Defense Ministry announced the arrival of the first group of parts of the system "S 400" Russian military airport in Ankara.
For its part, Russian diplomatic sources said that the delivery of the system of missiles "S-400" to Turkey will be in three batches; the first and the second by air and the third by sea.
The S-400 is one of the most advanced air defense systems in the world today, produced by the company Almaz-Ante, owned by the Russian government.
The system entered service in the Russian army in 2007, and is an upgrade to the S-300 air defense system, which was developed in the nineties of the last century.
The Turkish Defense Ministry announced in a tweet that "the extradition ... is as planned." The appendage was accompanied by pictures showing the arrival of the equipment to an air base near Ankara and the delivery began on Friday.
Washington opposes Ankara's purchase of the Russian system, as it conflicts with Turkey's desire to buy its new F-35 stealth fighter, raising fears of revealing its technical secrets.
Americans also believe that the S-400 system is not compatible with NATO military equipment that includes Ankara.
Members of Congress - Republicans and Democrats - called for the removal of Ankara's F-35 fighter jets and demanded sanctions against Turkish officials involved in the deal with Russia.
But Ankara has so far rejected all US warnings. Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Gawishoglu said on Friday: "We have said this more than once, the matter is over, and delivery will continue."
