"But from the messages that the two wrote to each other, Sara had never expressed fear towards Vincenzo."
The prosecution's argument

"I cannot deserve peace. I will never forgive myself for what I have done: I have taken away from Sara the possibility of being happy, the greatest punishment is the suffering that I carry inside and not the prison", said Paduano in the classroom making spontaneous statements to the Court.
Sara's mother's reaction
Satisfaction on the part of Concetta Raccuia, mother of Sara Di Pietrantonio, after the sentence of 30 years for Vincenzo Paduano. "There is no big difference between 30 years and life imprisonment," he said. "Maybe I can seem cynical - he added - but I don't think Paduano has repented: I think that to get to true repentance he will have to be helped a lot again because he can't do it alone".
