De Rugy, accused of his taxes, responds to Mediapart on Twitter

Mediapart continues its revelations. The online news site explained in a new article, published Friday night, that François de Rugy was not taxed in 2015 for his 2014 declared income. The Minister of Ecological Transition, at the heart of the turmoil, responded strongly on Twitter, denouncing a "relentless" on the part of the site of investigation.

Under the law at the time, the then MP was not taxable on his entire income. He was also able to deduct from his taxable income a portion of the donations made to "organizations recognized of general interest," writes the media online. He finally benefited from tax credits related to child care. Mediapart writes that this information "is not due to fraud, but to the very favorable regime enjoyed by parliamentarians at the time".
