The shipping company Corsica Linea announced this Saturday the cancellation of several crossings between France and Algeria until Tuesday as well as modifications to the services of Corsica, due to the blocking of its boats in Marseille by a strike.

Four crossings between Marseilles and Algiers were canceled between Saturday and Tuesday, specifies the direction of the company on its Internet site. In addition, services to Corsica were also disrupted and modified this weekend. These Saturday and Sunday, the Corsica Linea Corse-Marseille or Marseille-Corse connections are thus canceled and the passengers directed to crossings between Nice and Bastia.

Three Corsica Linea boats have been stranded at the port of Marseille since January 10 due to a strike by the staff of another shipping company, La Méridionale. The Corsican workers' union (STC) and the CFTC of La Méridionale claim that their company and Corsica Linea conclude an agreement to share the future service of the five Corsican ports from Marseille from January 2021 for seven years.
