April 08, 2020 They go out to sea exclusively to donate fish to families in difficulty. It happens in Castellammare del Golfo, in the province of Trapani. A gesture of solidarity and generosity in this moment of national emergency.

The fishermen were coordinated by the harbor office, with the support of the municipal administration, and the fish was collected in the food distribution counter set up in the church of San Giuseppe in collaboration with the municipality.

"A gesture of solidarity that moves me - says the mayor Nicolò Rizzo - and makes me proud of the many of my fellow citizens who in these days of great difficulty make themselves available to others and show great hearts. I thank the fishermen of Castellammare who, while also living their great difficulties of the moment - stresses Rizzo - have decided to make generosity and attention prevail for others. I thank the harbor master with the local office led by Maurizio Scozzari, who as always coordinates with care and professionalism the work of the navy and the controls ".

The gesture of the fishermen joins that of the many volunteers of the associations who are busy in the city.
