February 26, 2020 "Yesterday in the CDM I brought a specific plan that aims to correctly inform all foreign states on the real progress of things in Italy. The task of the Farnesina is also this. We must think about curbing the diffusion abroad of inaccurate news or even false that are spreading in these days. More fake news is spread and more damage, even at an economic level, Italy suffers. I have given indications to inform directly, and punctually, all the ambassadors accredited in Italy ". So writes Luigi Di Maio in a Facebook post on the coronavirus.

"In the last hours we have obtained the guarantee from many States that there will be no blockages or restrictions against us. And we are working with targeted missions to other States and correct information campaigns, to remove a number of Regions from the Italian destinations that are not recommended and Municipalities that have nothing to do with it, "said the minister.

"In such a delicate phase - explains Di Maio - it is essential for Italy to be able to maintain solid relationships with other European countries and with the international community. It is fundamental above all to safeguard our businesses and our SMEs, which represent the commercial framework of the country ".

The Foreign Minister announces: "For Tuesday I have convened a meeting to take stock of Italian exports and made in Italy. There are 300 million euros ready with the foreign trade institute in favor of our companies and we will discuss together how to best react to this moment. Another 350 million will be allocated to the sace-simest export fund ". The first 300 million for exports had been announced on February 11th.
