The French construction giant Bouygues Construction was hit Thursday by a vast cyber attack which affected its IT network without however paralyzing its activity, we learned from the company, confirming information from the Parisian.

"A viral crisis has been detected on the Bouygues Construction computer network," the group told AFP, adding that the company's activity was continuing.

"The analysis of the causes and the impacts is in progress and the security actions are implemented" internally ", but also" for our customers and for our partners ", he added.

According to Le Parisien, this attack affected the company's headquarters in the Yvelines and all of its IT departments. The group's foreign employees found themselves unemployed due to lack of access to their professional email, adds the daily.

Since the start of 2019, several companies have had to explain to their shareholders that they had lost tens of millions of euros in turnover due to paralyzing cyber attacks on their business.

Eurofins, a pharmacy, agrifood and environment analysis services group, estimated that it lost 62 million euros in sales in the first half of last year due to a ransomware attack.

The list of victims also includes the Norwegian producer of aluminum Norsk Hydro, the French group of French technology Altran or the French food group Fleury-Michon.
