Officials in local manufacturing companies emphasized that the dependence of local products on high quality standards enabled them to export to global markets, most notably the European Union countries, the United States, Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom, as well as the Arab and Gulf markets.

They told «Emirates Today» that Emirati goods are distinguished by their conformity to the highest international standards and requirements, noting that if it were not to ensure their high quality, they would not be allowed to be exported to Europe, America, and Britain, which follow strict standards for importing products.

They attested to this by the fact that international companies for the auto industry, especially luxury ones, use parts for their cars manufactured in the UAE.

The highest standards

In detail, the CEO of the United Food Company, Fathi Al-Khayari, said: “The company manufactures its food products in Dubai and works by producing them to keep up with the standards and measurements related to the quality of production not only local and Gulf, but global, which is what qualified them to export to 64 international markets, most notably the countries of the Union European, Australia, Canada, Japan and South Korea, in addition to the Arab Gulf countries and the Middle East ».

Al-Khayari stressed that "the company is keen, through the production policies of its factory in Jebel Ali, to make the manufacturing specifications distinguished by their conformity to the highest international standards and uniformly for the products supplied to the local and Gulf markets, to match the same products supplied to the European and Japanese markets."
He explained that «70% of the margarine products that the company manufactures are exported to foreign markets, while the export accounts for 49% of the company's total production annually.

Cars

For his part, the commercial director of "Gulf Extrusions Company", Dr. Hossam Mahmoud, said that "the products that the company manufactures, whether in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, have great quality standards that have increased their competitiveness in the face of other international companies, which enabled the company to export its products to 22". A country most notably the United Kingdom, Australia, the European Union, and North America, in addition to other global markets.

He pointed out that «the application of high quality standards in the products that the company makes, made 28 international car manufacturers that rely on the products of the company in their cars in various parts of the world, including prominent brands including (Maserati), (Mini Cooper), (Mercedes), ( BMW, Porsche, Land Rover and Jaguar.

He added, "Had it not been for the local products' adoption of high quality standards, these international companies would not have relied on importing from them and put those products in parts of their cars, despite the intensity of competition with other international companies," noting an increase in the company's exports amounted to 40% during This year compared to last year.

Increased competitiveness

In turn, the General Manager of the Emirates Steel Building Systems Company, Joseph Khalil Al-Shadiq, said that the company exports its products from steel structures to 35 countries, most notably markets in Asia, Africa, the Gulf and the Middle East.

He added that "the stringent manufacturing quality standards in the company, which is based in the Dubai Investment Park area in Dubai, made it pass the requirements of supply to international markets and companies, including (Aramco), in the face of intense competition from other international companies."

He pointed out that the company’s application of international standards in manufacturing and its compliance with various local control standards enabled it to obtain ISO certificates in various fields, which contributed to raising its competitiveness and facilitating its access to new markets, including Cote d'Ivoire and Mauritania.

He stated that "the increased demand for the company's products from international institutions made it finally open an office for sales in Uzbekistan, to complete export plans with new global markets."

“The company is currently exporting its products to more than 15 markets in the Gulf, the Middle East, Africa and Asia,” said the head of the Al-Hilali Industries Company, Engineer Talal Al-Hilali, confirming that the company applied the highest quality standards to its various products that include household cleaning fluids and spongy and plastic tools.

He added that "local and international standards are adopted in production, which enabled the company to obtain international (ISO) certificates."

He stressed that «the company is subject to control standards from various local agencies, as well as control standards from the bodies that adopt their import operations in the world’s markets», pointing out that «the UAE industry has high standards of production that most of them are able to export to various countries, including countries that follow difficult requirements To approve the products supplied to it ».

He stated that «the productive capacity of the company reaches 75 thousand tons annually», indicating that «exports account for rates exceeding 70% of the total production of the company annually».
