Morocco are in a new crisis because of Saudi club Al-Nasr striker Abdul Razzaq Hamdallah, who has been involved in an argument with coach Vahid Haliluzic.

The Atlas Lions coach told a news conference on Wednesday that Hamdallah refused to join the national team in his current camp despite the communication of assistant coach Mustafa Haji with him.

The Al Nasr striker responded quickly and said through a Facebook post that he had received no contact, either from the coach or from the Moroccan Football Federation.

Hamdallah left the preparatory camp for Morocco days before the start of the African Nations Cup, which took place last summer in Egypt.

The Moroccan Football Federation said Hamdallah had left because of an injury, but the player posted a video of him in training to deny any claims of injury.

The Al Nasr striker earlier promised to elaborate on what happened last summer before retreating at the last minute, which was interpreted as a prelude to reconciliation between the player and the Moroccan Football Federation.

Morocco are preparing for two friendly matches against Libya and Gabon on October 10 and 15 in preparation for the African 2021 qualifiers.
