China has decided to send an army of 100,000 ducks to help Pakistan fight a major threat to the country. According to a local Chinese newspaper.

The duck army will head to its mission from east China's Zhejiang Province, after a visit by a group of Chinese experts earlier to Pakistan to advise on dealing with the locust infestation in the country, which is also the worst in nearly 20 years.

China adopted this technology two decades ago to combat a similar invasion in the northwestern province of Xingyang, and has proven its effectiveness in eradicating locusts.

The use of ducks is less costly and harmful to the environment than the use of pesticides.

An expert said that the ducks are the most suitable for fighting such a fight, as it prefers to stay in groups, which makes controlling it easier, and that a single duck can eat more than 200 gras per day, compared to a chicken that consumes only 70.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan was invaded by locust swarms last year, which started wasting the country's cotton crop and is now threatening the wheat crop
