Cash withdrawal with “Face Pass” Seven Bank to introduce from next year 17:50 on September 12

Even if you don't have a bank cash card, ATM = automatic teller machine that can withdraw cash with "Face Pass" will appear. Seven Bank will start an ATM service with a face recognition function from the next fiscal year.

ATM with face recognition function was developed jointly with NEC by Seven Bank and announced in Tokyo on the 12th.

By registering face data in advance, you can withdraw and transfer cash simply by holding your face over the camera built into the ATM and entering your PIN.

Even if you wear glasses, a smiling face or an angry face will be recognized as the person, but to prevent impersonation, if you hold the photo over the camera, it will not be recognized as the person.

ATMs with facial recognition functions have been introduced by overseas banks, but according to Seven Bank, this is the first time in Japan.

Seven Bank will set up a new ATM in “Seven-Eleven” nationwide starting this month, and this year will start an account opening service using the face authentication function.

And we plan to be able to withdraw cash with face recognition, including partner financial institutions, from next fiscal year.

Seven Bank Koji Fukasawa, Director of ATM Solutions, says, “I want you to feel both convenient and secure.”
