According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare's report from companies at Hello Work nationwide, the number of job offer cancellations was 32 people as of 27th this month.
The breakdown is 14 university and junior college students at 12 companies and 18 high school students at 10 companies.
By type of job, accommodation and eating and drinking were the most common, with 13 employees, followed by lifestyle-related services and recreation, such as travel agencies, with 8 employees, and manufacturing with 2 employees.
According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, "cancellation of an offer at this time immediately before joining a company is very significant. We are asking companies not to cancel, and will focus on supporting employment."
