Less than four months after the coronation of Algeria, Africa gives the cover, and the guests are numerous. In the CAN-2021 qualifying rounds, no less than 144 matches, since the 48 teams competing for a qualification in the final phase were divided into 12 pools of 4. A big rally at the end of which the 24 participants at the next African Cup, hosted by Cameroon, will be known.

This long-running race has in any case started perfectly for two contenders for the final victory, which began their campaign on Wednesday 13 November. In front of Congo, in group I, Senegal did not flinch while going to look for a convincing success. The Teranga Lions picked up their first three points with goals from Sarr (1-0, 26th) and Diallo (2-0, 28th).

Lions not become indomitable again

The evening of Nigeria, which received Benin in the L group, however was not easy even if the essential is safe. Led by a Sessegnon goal (0-1, 3rd), the Super Eagles managed to turn things around with Lille's Osimhen (1-1, 45) and Bordeaux's Kalu (2-1, 63).

The other headliners called to play this Wednesday, have not really shone. Cameroon, in particular, let slip two points on his turf against Cape Verde (0-0). A draw with no major consequences, since the Indomitable Lions are already qualified as host countries despite their participation in Group F.
