The 16-year-old prodigy Ansu Fati is the starter in FC Barcelona's attack on Tuesday night in Dortmund, becoming the youngest ever European Cup champion in club history.

Lionel Messi, who did not resume training until Sunday after more than a month of injury (calf), is however spared by his trainer Ernesto Valverde and will be on the bench at kickoff.

At 16 years and 322 days, Fati, native of Guinea-Bissau, could if he scored become also the youngest scorer in the history of the League of Modern Champions (since 1992).

He will occupy the right flank of the attack, composed with him of Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann.
