“During a bilateral meeting ... a veterinary certificate was signed for the export of beef and beef products, with which such deliveries from Russia to Brazil can begin immediately,” the Rosselkhoznadzor website reported.
Work on gaining access for Russian beef and beef products to Brazil began in 2015. So far, only one Russian company has received the right to export Russian beef, which was checked by Brazilian inspectors.
Earlier, the Rosselkhoznadzor decided to introduce temporary restrictions on the supply of pig products from Bulgaria and Slovakia to Russia from August 9 due to the deteriorating situation in African swine fever (ASF).
