Within 24 hours, Israeli President Rouven Rivlin will charge a party leader to form a coalition. For the first time in 11 years, the candidate will not be Benyamin Netanyahu.

" The time has come to act, " tweeted Benny Gantz , leader of the blue-white centrist rally. And in his entourage, it is said that the goal is to form a Liberal Union Government. It is therefore a new period of 28 days that will begin.

Benny Gantz is not a magician, say the commentators on Tuesday morning. They examine all possible scenarios. One of them is the creation of a leftist minority coalition, which would receive external support from the unified Arab list.

At this point, the Blue-White coalition announces its intention to propose a cohabitation with Netanyahu's Likud Party, provided that Benny Gantz leads this government first.

But in case of failure of formation of a government, new legislative elections will have to take place. They would then be convened on March 10 or 17, 2020.

Netanyahu in the hands of justice

The daily Yediot Aharonot stresses that everything is now in the hands of the prosecution regarding Benyamin Netanyahu, who was accused in corruption cases.

His immunity protected him from justice. The Attorney General must decide as soon as possible in these cases that weigh on Benyamin Netanyahu, the newspaper adds.
