The Israeli occupation authorities put a group of soldiers in quarantine after it was discovered that they were accompanied by South Korean tourists at the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, and it became clear after their return to their country that they were infected with the new Corona virus.

The Israeli Ministry of Health imposed quarantine on ninety students and their teachers from the areas of Beersheba, Haifa and Afula, after it was found that they had contacted members of the Korean group.

The Israeli and Palestinian health authorities announced yesterday afternoon Saturday emergency measures after it became clear that the South Koreans were in religious tourism and had visited many archaeological sites in Jerusalem, Hebron, Bethlehem, Beersheba, the Dead Sea, Nazareth, Nablus and Jericho, and that they had contacted many people.

To reduce the spread of the virus, the Israeli authorities prevented a civilian plane from Seoul from landing its passengers and returning it from where it came.

It also announced a ban on tourists from Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong and Thailand, while the Palestinian government issued instructions appealing to citizens returning from these countries to cooperate with medical personnel on the crossings.

She called the owners of restaurants and establishments visited by the Korean tourists to close them and conduct medical and health directorates.
