Because of a potential contamination with coli bacteria Lidl calls back a raw milk cheese of the brand Morbier. According to the food discounter, it is the product "Morbier AOP made with raw milk, 250g" with expiry date 17/03/2019, lot 042 and identity number FR 25-155-001 CE of the French manufacturer SA Perrin Vermot.
It was sold in all federal states with the exception of Bremen, Hamburg, the Saarland and Schleswig-Holstein. In one investigation so-called E-coli bacteria have been detected, which could - even severe - cause diarrheal diseases. Anyone who has bought the cheese should not eat it, but return it to Lidl. According to Lidl, consumers will be reimbursed even without a receipt.
