“3 August this year Il-76 BTA aircraft made 24 sorties, performing a discharge of over 1000 tons of water. The crews of the Mi-8 helicopters made 60 sorties, dropping more than 600 tons of water to 32 open fire sites, ”the ministry said.

Earlier, the EMERCOM of Russia reported that the daily increase in the area of ​​forest fires in Siberia and the Far East has decreased fivefold.
