Asama Volcano lowered to eruption warning level "2" August 19th 11:08
As for Mt. Asama on the prefectural border between Nagano and Gunma where a small eruption occurred on the 7th of this month, the Japan Meteorological Agency said at 11:00 am on the 19th: As a result, the eruption warning level has been lowered from “3” indicating “Iriyama restriction” to “2” indicating “crater area restriction”. In the 2km range from the crater, caution is required for large cinders associated with eruptions.
