The milk is to be produced at Arla's dairy in Jönköping and packed in packages and then sent to the UK. There, demand for lactose-free milk has increased greatly, the company writes in a press release on Friday.

The deal includes 30 million liters of milk per year, worth about SEK 250 million.

Arla has invested SEK 80 million in the dairy in Jönköping. Production is already underway and the first packages have been delivered.

- We will produce about 100,000 liters of lactose-free milk per day, with a little longer shelf life, six days a week. Pack in packages for the UK market and export them to the UK. " says Helena Södervall Arla's dairy manager in Jönköping in a press release.
