Henry Fonda's son Peter Fonda and his brother Jane Fonda have died of lung cancer at the age of 79, People magazine reported.
"It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter Fonda," the magazine quoted his family as saying.
"I am very sad, my baby brother was kind-hearted," Jane Fonda said in a statement.
During his career, which began in the 1960s, the actor became famous for his work in the film "Essy Rider" in 1969.
The actor was nominated to win the Oscar on two occasions, the first in 1969 for his film "Issey Ryder" and the second in 1988 for his role in the film "Oles Gold."
