January 28, 2020 The earth is still in Albania: a tremor of magnitude 5.0 was recorded with its epicenter in Durres. The Albanian Institute of Geology reports. The shock was also felt distinctly in the capital Tirana and further south to Vlora.

The earthquake, also located from the Ingv seismic room in Rome, occurred along the northern coast of Albania at 21.15 Italian time, with geographic coordinates latitude 41.47, longitude 19.5 at a depth of 13 km.

The shock, in a much milder form, was also felt in Puglia, between the provinces of Brindisi, Taranto and Lecce.

On 26 November, Albania was hit by a strong 6.5 magnitude earthquake. The final toll of the tragedy was 50 dead and around 2000 injured.
