The power line has been a sequel in Oxelösund since Vattenfall presented the plans for a new high-voltage line. Something that is required when SSAB plans to switch its production to electric power.
According to Oxelösund Municipality, the new stretch will mean that the properties in Inskogen, Norra Peterslund and Sundsör will not be affected by the planned management. The municipality feared that development in the areas, such as housing construction, would be impeded if the power line were pulled there.
However, according to the municipality, the power line will be moved closer to buildings in individual places but the distances there will be outside the applicable risk distance.
