“It’s a great grief for us to share the news that Peter Fonda has passed away,” the statement said.
According to relatives, the actor died on Friday, August 16 at his home in Los Angeles, surrounded by a family.
The official cause of death is called "respiratory failure due to lung cancer."
Peter Fonda starred in the films Careless Rider, Passion Ayn Rand, Uli Gold, Storm Causing, and several others.
In July, the death of Dutch and American actor Rutger Hauer was reported.
