The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAA) has unveiled a project that is currently being studied in collaboration with a specialized international body in the genetic sciences, to develop a "genetic map" for livestock breeds in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in order to identify the best breeds that are suitable for the environment and achieve the highest productivity of farmers, to be presented to the owners of farms and breeders. During the opening of the first edition of the Eurotire Middle East exhibition on technology and investment in the livestock sector, hosted by Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority The percentage of local livestock production will rise to 65.5%, pledging to increase this percentage to 100% over the next five years to reach self-sufficiency stage.

The first edition of the Eurotire Middle East exhibition on technology and investment in the livestock sector kicked off yesterday at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) with over 120 exhibitors representing 150 companies from 16 countries, including Saudi Arabia. The exhibition, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, was inaugurated by Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili, Managing Director of the Community Development Department. Al Ameri said in a press statement after the opening of the exhibition: "The aim of the exhibition in Abu Dhabi is to transfer modern knowledge in the best methods of production to increase the economic return," praising the increasing government support to farmers and livestock breeders in the country.

Al Qasimi, in a press statement on the sidelines of the exhibition, said: "The state uses the latest technologies in the field of breed improvement, especially with regard to the transfer of embryos and artificial insemination," pointing out that statistics show that the proportion of local livestock product is 65.5%, and there is a constant To increase this to 100% over the next five years.

He pointed out that the value of support to livestock breeders is up to 3 billion dirhams and is increasing continuously, noting that the Authority is currently going to partner with the private sector to provide the best services in this regard through the work of applied research that helps in this.
