MOSCOW (Reuters) - Five of its employees were killed in an accident during tests at a military site in northern Russia, the state-run Rosatom nuclear agency was quoted as saying early on Saturday.
The news agency quoted Rosatom as saying the accident occurred during tests of a liquid-fuel rocket engine.

Russian authorities had previously said two people died in the incident and a nearby city reported a rise in radiation when a rocket engine exploded at a test site in the Arkhangelsk region on Thursday.

Authorities said they had to close part of a bay in White Sea (White Sea) to shipping traffic.

Local residents stored iodine, which is used to reduce the effects of radiation exposure after the incident, local media reported.
