The committee is chaired by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and its formation comes in light of the decisions announced by the UAE government to prevent the new corona virus (COFED-19), and within the framework of government efforts to support volunteering and community service activities at various levels, And to provide the full support required for volunteers and volunteer parties, and to coordinate work among them.

The committee will supervise the work of all volunteer agencies at the state level during crises, activate the “Emirates volunteers” platform as a main platform to receive and approve volunteer requests in times of crises, supervise volunteers during crises, ensure their health and safety, and provide the necessary support to them, in addition to coordinating with the authorities Local government and semi-governmental organizations to unify volunteer campaigns during crises.
