Today, Thursday, German police announced that at least eight people were killed and five wounded, in Hanao, in the western state of Hesse.

The police added that special units were chasing the perpetrators who had escaped from the site of the first attack in a black car.

The police, in a statement issued by many local newspapers, did not provide further details about the circumstances of the attack or the identity of its perpetrator, while some local newspapers reported that the attack was carried out by two unidentified persons.

A local radio reported that the first bullets were fired at a hookah bar in downtown Hanau, and witnesses reported hearing eight or nine shots.

She explained that the shooters then went on a vehicle to the Kesselstadt district in the west, before they re-opened fire on another hookah bar.

It is noteworthy that at least six people were killed on January 24, after shooting in the town of Rot am See in the state of Baden-WĂĽrttemberg, southwestern Germany, according to local media.
