A total of 2394 licenses were issued in June 2019, with 79 licenses a day in Dubai.
The report added that the new licenses contributed to the addition of 7598 jobs to the labor market. These licenses were divided into several activities, mainly professional activities at 58.5%, commercial 38.9%, tourism 1.9% and industrial 0.7%.
According to the Dubai Economic Department, these figures from the Business Plan, the department's digital information platform, confirm its continued support for Dubai's economic growth and its position on the economic map as a regional and global financial hub.
Transactions completed
The total number of commercial registration and licensing transactions completed in June 2019 was 22,759. The outsourcing centers in the various regions in Dubai carried out 19,912 transactions, accounting for 87% of the total transactions.
The total number of commercial permits reached 905 permits, confirming the attractiveness of Dubai for those wishing to carry out business activities on the one hand, and increasing the confidence of businessmen in the strength of the local economy on the other hand.
Renew licenses
The total number of renewal transactions reached 10,100 and 417 transactions in June 2019. 5335 transactions included automatic renewal of commercial licenses via SMS, which constitutes 51.2% of the total transactions, confirming the sustainability and competitiveness of the business in the Emirate of Dubai.
The number of instant licenses issued in one step without a location for the first year, and exemption from the establishment contract for the same period 250 licenses, while the number of license "dealer" 219 licenses.
Nationalities and regions
As for the distribution of new licenses according to nationalities, Bangladesh ranked first, followed by India, Pakistan, Egypt, Britain, China, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and Lebanon.
The report highlighted the distribution of new licenses in June of 2019 according to the main regions of Dubai. Bur Dubai has the largest number of 1399 licenses, followed by Deira 993 and Hatta with two new commercial licenses.
The report explained the distribution of new licenses for the top 10 sub-regions, which accounted for 64.8% of all regions. Al-Garhoud came first with 13.4%, followed by Al Barsha the first with 12.2%, Burj Khalifa 10.3%, Al Fahidi 10.1%, Port Said 5.3%, First Commercial Center 3.0%, Oud Metha 3.0%), Um Al-Ramool (2.8%), Al-Mutar (2.8%) and Naif (1.9%).
