The registration period of the citizens of the parliamentary bodies wishing to run for the FNC 2019 elections concluded yesterday, with the nine registration centers distributed among the UAE emirates receiving 98 applications on the fifth and last day, including 40 for females, bringing the total number of applications for nomination. It was received over the five registration days, to 555 applications, including 200 applications for women, or 36% of the total applications, compared to 355 applications submitted by males, or 64% of the total applications for candidacy at the national level.

According to the National Election Commission, the Abu Dhabi Commission registered 27 applications yesterday, including 14 applications for males and 13 for females, and the Dubai Commission registered 26 applications, including 14 for males and 12 for females, and the Sharjah Commission registered 18 applications for candidacy, 10 for males and eight for females, and registered Fujairah recorded seven applications, five for males and two for females.The Ajman Committee received six applications, five for males and one for females, while the Umm Al Quwain Committee did not receive any applications for candidacy on the final day.

According to the timetable of the FNC 2019 elections, the National Elections Commission will announce the preliminary list of candidates next Sunday, after which, from 26 to 28 August, the door will be opened for filing appeals against candidates. Next September, the final list will be announced on September 3.

The Abu Dhabi Committee started its work on the official working hours, but it did not receive the first candidates to run until 10 am, and Abdulrahman Salem Al Shamsi, (33 years), an official in a media production company, who expressed his happiness to run, stressing that his election campaign will include many surprises Non-traditional.

Hamad Saeed al-Luaiti al-Muharami, an officer in the armed forces, (49 years), said that he settled his candidacy for the elections of the Council, as soon as his name is on the list of electoral bodies, adding that the support and encouragement of his family and friends was the main motive to complete his candidacy papers, which is the same motive for Dalal's candidacy. Saeed Al-Qubaisi (businesswoman) for the second time in a row, who confirmed that the decision of His Highness the President of the State to increase the representation of women in Parliament, was the most motivated to take the decision to run.

Shamsa Al Hamli praised the ease of the nomination process at the Abu Dhabi Committee, which said it took no more than 10 minutes.

Mona Obaid Al Zaabi, an employee at Abu Dhabi Media, expressed her happiness to accept her candidacy papers after she completed the procedures and nomination papers.He confirmed that she came to the committee headquarters more than once, but she was having trouble completing her papers.

Salem Khamis Salem Al Mazrouei, a deaf and dumb group, expressed great optimism about his candidacy for the elections, stressing that his classification within the group of people of determination represented a motivation for him to run the electoral experience, to be the best representative of this category.

Al-Mazrouei, who hired a friend, pledged to work in the service of the homeland and citizens in various fields if he is able to represent his countrymen under the dome of parliament.

The smallest candidate

Basheer Al Mazrouei, 27, an engineer at ADNOC Gas Processing Company, confirmed her keenness to participate actively in the elections of the Council, from the gate of candidacy, pointing to her urgent desire to serve the community and meet the needs and requirements of young people.

Al Mazrouei, who is less than an applicant in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, explained that her experience and ambition helped her a lot in making the decision.
